Supreme Court Justice: Same-sex marriage across the US ‘would not take a large adjustment’ · PinkNews

With SCOTUS hearing arguments for and against same-sex marriage in four separate cases this June, Justice Ginsberg seems to make a prediction as where the court might go:

Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Wednesday said she thought the US was ready for same-sex marriage.

The 81-year-old justice spoke in an interview with Bloomberg to say that she thought “it would not take a large adjustment” for Americans to accept that marriage was a constitutional right for gay and lesbian couples, should the US Supreme Court say so.
The justices are expected to make a decision by the end of June.

“The change in people’s attitudes on that issue has been enormous,” she said. “In recent years, people have said, ‘This is the way I am.’ And others looked around, and we discovered it’s our next-door neighbour – we’re very fond of them. Or it’s our child’s best friend, or even our child. I think that as more and more people came out and said that ‘this is who I am,’ the rest of us recognised that they are one of us.
