Sacramento: Watch Peaceful Protest of Verity Baptist Church

Hundreds of protestors lined the entrance to Sacramento’s Verity Baptist Church Sunday morning, holding signs that denounced Pastor Roger Jimenez for saying he wished the mass shooter in Orlando last weekend had killed more “sodomites.”

Rich and I attended the protest, which was quite peaceful. Protestors handed out bottles of waters and the mood was quite jovial – and full of hugs.

“Hate is not a Christian value,” and “Love conquers hate,” read some of the signs held aloft by people standing in the parking lot of the Natomas office park where Verity worshipers were scheduled to gather for their Sunday morning service.
