San Francisco: Celebrating 30 Years of ‘Up Your Alley’ This Weekend

This weekend marks the 30th year of Up Your Alley street fair – more commonly known as Dore Alley. While I will be on the East Coast and missing the event this year, it remains one of my favorite gay-themed events.

The event has grown over the years and its interesting history can be found here.

The event's big brother, Folsom Street Fair, is still by far the largest of the two festivals. But, for a more local kink flair, I would highly recommend Dore. Put on your best chaps, rubber or jock strap and check it out – but, be prepared for your nuts freezing off when the typical summer San Francisco fog rolls in.
