Ultra homophobe Matt Barber opened his fat mouth about the DOMA repeal today on his Liberty Counsel radio show:
On today’s installment of Liberty Counsel’s “Faith and Freedom” radio program, Matt Barber voiced his displeasure with theRespect For Marriage Act, which would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, calling it reprehensible and vowing that Democrats would be held accountable for their effort to impose “San Francisco-style social engineering” on the country.
Barber then claimed that DOMA was needed to protect children on the grounds that kids who are raised in same-sex households are more likely to identify as gay, and gay men are more likely to get HIV … so, apparently DOMA is necessary in order to keep kids from getting AIDS, or something…
He bitches about Congress and President Obama taking unnecessary time from preventing an “Obama depression” in deciding not to defend DOMA. Where was this argument when Congress spent a day earlier this month reaffirming “In God We Trust” as the national motto (again)?
I remember indirect geometry in high school where one learned to make these “indirect” arguments. Barber must have taken that class, too.
