A Republican state senator from Iowa claims gay people are hazardous to his family’s health:
Senator¬†Dennis Guth, who quoted Tea Party darling¬†Dr. Ben Carson, of¬†Iowa¬†told his colleagues in the Iowa Senate that there ‚Äúare health risks that my family incurs because of the increase of sexually transmitted infections that this lifestyle invites.‚ÄĚ
Senator Guth, who says he has served on the board of directors of¬†Bob Vander Plaats‚Äė¬†Family Leader¬†anti-gay organization,¬†also falsely claimed that ‚Äúthere are more and more medical tests required before giving blood or giving birth,‚ÄĚ as if that is the fault of gay people.
The Family Leader says it is closely associated with both Focus on the Family and the anti-gay hate group, Family Research Council.
‚ÄúThe media, for the most part, has bamboozled us into thinking that having a relationship outside of the boundaries of monogamous, heterosexual marriage is positive, happy and fulfilling,‚ÄĚ Guth said.
Sounds like his family must be spending time at all those glory holes that I’ve seen at truck stops along Interstate 80 in Iowa.
