Watch: ‘Credence’ Hopes To Offer A New Portrayal of Gay Parents

Via Pink News:

A new film project has been launched with the hopes of challenging the portrayal of LGBT people on film.
Credence, a sci-fi film about the end of the world, and an evacuation of the earth, features a gay couple’s family, and the devastating effect the loss of their daughter has on them.

The final cut of the film will be directed by Mike Buonaiuto, and feature a soundtrack by Scottish composer Craig Sutherland and New York based artist and vocalist Lucien Dante.

The description on the trailer for the film reads: “Ever wondered what it might look like if a science fiction film presented LGBT people the way it should be done? #Credence will be the first Sci-Fi of its kind to challenge the way gay characters are portrayed in film.”

“Credence tells the story of a family torn apart during the last evacuation on earth after violent storms have made survival impossible. Hope has been found in the form of new worlds that support human life, however due to limited rocket capacity and life expectancy only children are permitted to evacuate, and even then – only the rich have ended up getting tickets. Our short film follows 2 fathers’ decision to make the ultimate sacrifice to give up all their possessions to ensure the survival of their daughter, and the entire human race.”

The team behind the film is currently raising funds on Indiegogo to create the full-length big screen version. Watch…

More National Nude Day: There’s A Naked Dating Show

Just when you thought reality TV is dead, along comes a new slew of “naked” reality shows. ‘Naked and Afraid’ has graced Discovery for a while as it thrusts two survivalists into a remote wilderness location with no clothing or supplies.

Now, the dating show is adopting the “naked” format, with men and women meeting each other nude and pursuing a relationship. ‘Dating Naked’ is VH1?s latest foray into romantic reality series, where hapless hetero singles meet au naturel, with the idea that you are your most honest self without clothes. We don’t know about all that, but it’s a fun excuse to see naked people—albeit with their crotches blurred out.

Dating Naked premieres on Thursday, July 17 at 9/8c on VH1.

Here’s a preview…

To celebrate the show, VH1 also sent nude dancers into Downtown Los Angeles. I guess nude is the new black or something like that. Also, where is the nude gay dating show?

Archie Will Die Taking Bullet for Gay Best Friend

Followers of the latest iteration of Archie comics will be stunned (or pleased) to learn that the series’ iconic character will die trying to protect his gay best friend in the series conclusion:

Archie Andrews will die taking a bullet for his gay best friend.

The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday’s installment of “Life with Archie” when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics’ first openly gay character. Andrews’ death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.

“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie,” said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. “He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”

And that’s that. Cue right wing head explosions.

Watch: Putting Pants on With No Hands Is Apparently A Thing

Inspired by one man’s artful ability to put his pants on hands free (while dancing no less), gay vloggers Mark E. Miller and Ethan Hethcote decided to see for themselves how challenging such a feat really is. Personally, I do know that it is easier to take them off without hands.

Talented Pisser Gets Axed From Australian Rugby League #NSFW

Australian rugby player Todd Carney (above) was busted after peeing into his own mouth at a local pub on Saturday. Now, that’s an opening line!

I actually am not great at urinating into my own mouth — although I don’t have issues peeing into the mouth of others. Apparently, Carney was fired as a result of this NSFW pic, which is too bad since he seems quite talented at it.

carn was able to track down the first-known tweet of Carney’s lewd act, which came at around 10pm Australian time on Saturday night.

“No way this is not true,” Twitter user @MarkRaider1 tweeted, along with a picture of the now former Cronulla Sharks player apparently urinating into his own mouth.

Well, there you go. I have friends at who might be able to place the ex-rugby player into a watersports film.

Watch: Trailer for ‘Broke Straight Boys’ Reality Show

Remember that reality show they spoofed on ’30 Rock?’ I think it was MILF Island or something along those lines. Now, we have gay-for-pay porn performers sharing a house in a new show.

A peek at the Broke Straight Boys Reality Show is here! According to the producers, you need to “prepare yourself for one of the most unique series ever made for television. Its polarizing content and its visceral effect on viewers is undeniable. Without apology, this series provides an uncensored look into the lives of people who make porn… and more specifically, straight men who do gay porn and the multi-million dollar company that provides the platform.”

Though no explicit porn is shown in the series, the mere suggestion of what they do and the insight into their chosen profession makes Broke Straight Boys a true character study, bringing the viewer into a world they may not have known existed and will surely never forget.

Watch the trailer below. Nice eye candy for sure.
