The Advocate is out with it’s 2013 list of America’s gayest cities – and surprisingly, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles don’t make the top 15. But, you may live in one of the top LGBT communities.

Criteria used to judge the winners include # of elected LGBT officials, Scissor Sisters concerts, roller derby?, marriage equality and the HRC Corporate Equality Index (amongst others). Without further adieu, here’s the list:

15. St. Louis, MO

14. Salem, OR

13. Colorado Springs, CO

12. Providence, RI

11. Oakland, CA

10. Twin Cities, MN

9. Atlanta, GA

8. Madison, WI

7. Eugene, OR

6. Salt Lake City, UT

5. Seattle, WA

4. Washington, DC

3. Spokane, WA

2. Springfield, MA

…and, drumroll please:

1. Tacoma, WA

Did your city make the list?
