Showing Kelly Stern My Gay Pride

Since June 2006, Rambling Along In Life’s Kelly Stern has blogged (and been a friend – we met in San Francisco in 2007 at the Gay Bloggers Summit). He has also invited us all to participate in posting his gay pride photo each June (to which I have obliged):

Each year of this blog I have posted a picture and asked fellow bloggers to use the picture on their blogs to help promote equality during this month of Pride celebrations all across the country.  If you post the picture or see it posted somewhere, shoot me the link and I will post on here.  I think the most folks have had participate were in the first two years before Facebook took off and bloggers went by the side.  This year let’s show the Pride all over the web.  Post the picture on Facebook, link my blog to it. Spread the word.

I think this year is going to be a special year for Pride as we see more and more acceptance across the country.  For the first time a majority of the country is in favor of same sex unions/marriages.  This means the world to me because I hope in the near future, the marriage I entered into last September will not only be recognized in DC, but all across the country.

So tell me.  What are you going to do to promote Pride?  It doesn’t matter if you are gay or straight, you can celebrate Pride.  Pride in yourself is the most important thing.  Hold your head high and be proud and help me and others do it by posting the Pino Pride pic above, or the picture that started it all, below.  HAPPY PRIDE!

Without further adieu, here is the photo for June 4, 2011. If you’d like to join us in this old gay blogger tradition, you can find Kelly here – usually in various stages of undress (no complaints).

And if you’d like to post your own Gay Pride Flag photo, you can do so at my Facebook page here!
