Tomorrow is a critical day for all of us to get out and vote. I did so last week via my absentee ballot. But, if you haven’t voted in advance of Election Day, please schedule an hour to go to the polls tomorrow. If you don’t know where to go, please enter your address here. You will be directed to your polling location. Take some time before you go to the polls to acquaint yourself with candidates, propositions and other ballot measures. Many municipalities around the U.S. send out booklets in advance of the election, but I would also encourage everyone to go online to view endorsements, recommendations and suggestions on how to vote for some of the confusingly worded propositions (you know the ones, where NO means YES and vice versa). Understanding what you are voting on helps you to be a better American as well as a better-educated one.
On a personal political note, I am worried about many of the Tea Party candidates running in neck-in-neck elections with incumbents in states such as Nevada, Washington, Ohio, Alaska and other states – many of which have been “blue” states in the past.
PLEASE, GET OUT AND VOTE. Otherwise, you have NO right to whine and complain when the candidate you would have voted against actually wins and starts introducing anti-gay and pro-religious laws. Be proactive and call 5 of your friends to make sure they are voting and in turn have each of them call five friends.
Now, I will return to my worrying about what will probably be a blood bath for Democrats. If you are undecided, the video below is a stark reminder of the Bush years.
