The most powerful house in the world now has a blog.
While it is late to blogging for the White House, it’s never too late when the government is closing its gap with reality. Makes you wonder if when the White House Press Room will become vitual? Or if when bloggers will displace the network correspondents? After all, The Huffington Post was allowed to ask a question at a recent press briefing!
The world is sure changing. And while citizens sat around their radios waiting for stale updates during the last depression, they will get their updates on the current depression recession by RSS feeds, Twitter and email. I personally am looking forward to the ability to tap more directly into the going-ons of our branches of governments via Twitter. I really believe that it will make me a better citizen, not to mention a great primary source of info as a blogger.
Let’s hope we’ll see a post or two from President Obama himself! I do think that his blog needs a Nathan redesign – maybe with Obama’s suit pants down to his ankles?
Stay tuned. Oh wait – Michelle is christening a new dump truck. Gotta go!
